Microsoft Outlook Error Code 0x800CCC0F – Fix

0x800CCC0F

Outlook Error Code 0x800CCC0F is generated when sending mail from Your Microsoft Outlook account.

This error is generated because of the mail client (Microsoft Outlook) is unable to contact the MailEnable server. The most probable reason is that a firewall is preventing connectivity between the client & the server.

RESOLUTION

As a preceding measure, review the Diagnostic Report to ensure that the services (POP, SMTP, etc.) are configured and are running on the MailEnable server. If these services are not running, then start them, and subsequently re-attempt connecting from the mail client.

Now, Diagnosing this issue involves troubleshooting the network environment to determine what prevents Outlook from connecting to the MailEnable server. So, This can initially be done by first using the ping utility to see if the DNS can resolve the specified mail server name to an actual IP address.

STEP 1: Check your DNS resolution is working correctly to Fix Error Code 0x800CCC0F

From the Windows command prompt, So type this:

So reply response indicating the IP address of the server should be returned.

Whether an IP address is not reported when the ping is being performed, then review the DNS configuration setting.

NOTE: The NSLOOKUP utility can be used to check DNS configuration/integrity.

STEP 2: Check TCP/IP-Network Connectivity to Fix Error Code 0x800CCC0F

Assuming the ping returns an IP address in its response (even if it returns an error in being able to get the answer itself), the next step is to determine if the mail client can connect to the ports on the MailEnable server. So, This is done via the telnet utility.

From the mail client’s Windows command prompt, So, type in the following:

This should connect to the server & report back with a welcome note from the MailEnable server.

Also, Check :
1. pii_email_cf3398746f8ffdfafc70
2. pii_email_4550f2ef52b4ec72f3a4

In case If nothing (or an error) is returned, then something (most likely a firewall) blocks connectivity between the mail client and the server. In that case, check with your ISP to see if they provide a connection to external mail servers. Now, Check the logs of any firewalls that are installed.
